Recce - The Reconaissance to the country / region to evaluate – the landscape sites, available studio spaces and Infrastructure.

Pre-production - Though Recce is a part of pre-production it has generally been provided a separate entity. Pre-production could involve from developing of story boards to actual artifacts as was done for The Gladiator by Bijon Das Gupta an Indian Art Director, or the swords in Lord of the Rings which were manufactured in Himachal Pradesh, to logistics of the actual shoot, equipment, actors, technical crew, lab etc.

Production - The actual shoot of the film which could be on open landscapes, big studio floors. The co-ordination of the full activity of the supply end including transportation, boarding, lodging, etc. etc.

Post-production - Includes the film edit, recordings, special effects, inter positives, final prints to digital outputs. Providing platform for shoots in India
