Co Ordinating a million Us D Shoot of a film by Sangeet Sivam in Mauritius. Recce November 2014


Locations with sincere grief wishes to inform you about the sad demise of Mr Yash Chopra on 21st October 2012. Mr Chopra was 80 years old on September 27th this year.


The Legendary Indian Filmmaker’s career spanned over Four Decades and had Directed 22 Films including a recent Film under completion " Jaan Hai …to be Released at the year Ending. He also was a seer of sorts for the Indian film Industry having Corporatised his Production under the banner of YRF (Yash Raj Films) Introducing a Studio System well before the Disney's, Fox and Warner walked into the Country.


YRF has produced over Fifty Films and has had a Majority share of Highly successful films,almost 80% being declared as Hits and several making over 25 Million Usd in profits . The YRF today is a Brand valued at almost 500 Million Usd.


YRF is also the First Indian Film Production company to have had a Forward Integration of Distribution, with its networks spreading over several countries and has the best IPR security Ratio in the Country.


Mr Yash Chopra also had the Vision of using Foreign Locales Extensively for his Films, in fact he shot almost twenty of his Films in Switzerland and was Honored by the Swiss Government with an Honorary Citizenship of Switzerland with also a Train Named after Him.


Locations Awards, a part of the Locations Exhibition Conference was the Last Official Public appearance of Mr Yash Chopra, when on the 5th of October 2012, he kindly consented to be present to Receive “The Locations Life Time Contribution to Indian Cinema Award“ may his soul RIP.


Locations has Honored in the Past some Revered Indian Film Personalities with the Exclusive " Life Time Contribution to Indian Cinema Award " which includes

Mr G P Sippy - 2003 Producer of Over 100 feature Films and of the Cult Classic " SHOLAY " which had a Theatrical Run of 10 continuous years in India.


Dr B R Chopra - 2005 Producer Director of over 40 Feature Length Films, elder brother to Mr Yash Chopra and Winner of Dada Saheb Phalke Award , the Highest Honor for an Indian Filmmaker from the Indian Government.


Dr K Balachander = 2006 Producer Director of over 100 Feature length films , also a Winner of Dada Saheb Phalke Award and the man who introduced several actors who went on become Legendary Stars of the South Indian Films - Kamal Hassan and the even Today's Highest Paid Indian Star - Rajnikanth.
